NRA Wails Predictably: Walmart Caved To “Anti-Gun Elites” And Will Now Lose To Pro-Freedom Businesses

The right wing Washington Examiner reports:

The National Rifle Association called Walmart’s decision to halt their handgun ammunition sales “shameful” in a statement Tuesday afternoon. The NRA’s scathing remarks come the same day the major retail chain announced they will discontinue sales of short-barrel rifle ammunition and will no longer sell handgun ammunition.

“The strongest defense of freedom has always been our free-market economy. It is shameful to see Walmart succumb to the pressure of the anti-gun elites. Lines at Walmart will soon be replaced by lines at other retailers who are more supportive of America’s fundamental freedoms,” the NRA’s statement began.

“The truth is Walmart’s actions today will not make us any safer,” it continued. “Rather than place the blame on the criminal, Walmart has chosen to victimize law-abiding Americans.”
