ABC News reports:
The extremely dangerous Hurricane Dorian is now a Category 5 major hurricane with maximum sustained wind speeds of 160 miles-per-hour, and the tropical storm watch from Deerfield Beach to Sebastian has been upgraded to a Tropical Storm Warning, according to the 8 a.m. advisory from the National Hurricane Center.
The Bahamas is bracing for catastrophic damage, while parts of South Florida are bracing for possible hurricane force and tropical storm force winds up through Sebastian. Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 30 miles from the center of the storm, and tropical-storm force winds extend outward up to 105 miles. Dorian is moving west at 8 mph.
