Axios reports:
President Trump mocked Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke’s Hispanic nickname in a late-night tweet ahead of his visit to the former congressman’s hometown of El Paso Wednesday to honor victims of the city’s mass shooting.
Trump’s Twitter attack is in direct opposition to the conciliatory tone he struck when he condemned racism following Saturday’s massacre, saying “Now is the time to set destructive partisanship aside.” O’Rourke has said Trump is a “white nationalist” who encourages racism and violence in the U.S.
Beto (phony name to indicate Hispanic heritage) O’Rourke, who is embarrassed by my last visit to the Great State of Texas, where I trounced him, and is now even more embarrassed by polling at 1% in the Democrat Primary, should respect the victims & law enforcement – & be quiet!

22 people in my hometown are dead after an act of terror inspired by your racism. El Paso will not be quiet and neither will I. https://t.co/dakFPKj0vJ
