The New York Law Journal reports:
Attorneys for Deutsche Bank and Capital One had until 4 p.m. Tuesday to tell a panel of federal judges whether they have copies of the tax returns of President Donald Trump or three of his children.
An order handed down by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit late Monday set the deadline for the pair of financial institutions, which have been used by Trump and his family for borrowing in the past.
Attorneys for the companies were allowed to file an unredacted letter to the Second Circuit later this afternoon with an answer, but a redacted version was filed for public view, according to a second order issued Tuesday.
Deutsche Bank has all but confirmed the bank is in possession of tax returns for President Trump and some of his immediate family. Names are redacted in the letter the bank just filed in response to Monday’s court order, but it’s clear who they are referring to. ? pic.twitter.com/iYAuNMlGcu

In response to an order from the 2nd Circuit in Trump’s subpoena fight with House Dems, Capital One says it doesn’t have any copies of tax returns for Trump or his companies: https://t.co/zbtIwBVxSy

Deutsche Bank appears to have tax returns for President Trump. Capital One Financial does not. It's hardly surprising Deutsche Bank has some of Trump's tax returns. What's shocking to me is the bank was unwilling to answer this basic question until faced with a court order. pic.twitter.com/XGIeUPAnn0
