Trump Rages After Diss By Lesbian US Soccer Star

This is what Glorious Leader is ranting about:

As if we needed more reasons to root for Megan Rapinoe, here she is dropping this gem [clip below] in an interview that hit Twitter Tuesday. She previously talked with Jenny Ventras of Sports Illustrated and said she won’t visit the White House if the USWNT won the World Cup. But not quite as elegantly as this time around.

As some people try to make a controversy over how she’s handled herself during the national anthem at the World Cup, Rapinoe is just being who she’s always been. That’s what happens when all you know how to do is keep it real for the people.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports:

“We’re not going to be invited,” Rapinoe, who is from Redding, Calif., told the reporter, who seemed incredulous at the notion that the team wouldn’t be invited to the White House. “I doubt it,” she added.

Rapinoe was scolded by Trump on Tuesday after it was noticed that she’s decided to remain silent while the U.S. national anthem is played at 2019 World Cup matches.

She’s hardly the first U.S. athlete who has declined a visit to the White House before even receiving one. Danny Green, the Toronto Raptors shooting guard who is from New York, said a visit to the White House now that the Raptors are NBA champs is a “hard pass.”

Earlier this year Rapinoe was the first openly gay woman to be featured in Sports Illustrated‘s famed swimsuit edition. Last year she and her girlfriend, WNBA star Sue Bird, were the first same-sex couple featured in ESPN Magazine‘s “Body” issue.
