The Independent reports:
Donald Trump has joked with Vladimir Putin during a meeting at the G20 in Japan over their shared disdain for journalists who write stories they do not approve of.
“Get rid of them. Fake news is a great term, isn’t it? You don’t have this problem in Russia, but we do,” Mr Trump was quoted as telling Mr Putin.
“We also have. It’s the same,” Mr Putin responded in English, before both laughed. Trump has consistently and repeatedly branded as “fake news” reporting – often demonstrably accurate reporting – which casts him in negative light.
In Russia, journalists have been killed or beaten in retaliation for their reporting. Today, Trump said approvingly to Putin about the press: “You don’t have this problem but we do.” https://t.co/oqCasMDnxu

Trump’s banter about “fake news” with Putin, who leads a country where journalists are murdered, comes on the anniversary of the Capital Gazette killings https://t.co/naQiitHM1S

Today, Trump joked with Putin about interfering in our elections. He joked about getting “rid of” journalists with a man who has reporters murdered. The president is looking out for himself—not the American people. We need a president who will always stand up for American values.

Just another Putin/Trump get-together: They joke about screwing with American elections and they laugh about killing journalists.

To recap, in last week Trump has “joked” about being President forever, “joked” about “getting rid” of journalists who question him to Vladimir Putin and “joked” with Putin to not attack our elections again in 2020. Please take a moment to think about what we’re seeing. #Traitor
