CHATTER AWAY: Overnight Open Thread

The Orlando Sentinel reports:

The infamous “Florida Man’’ is getting his own TV show. The Oxygen cable network is developing a new series that will focus on “America’s most notorious, outrageous, craftiest killers from the Sunshine State,” according to the NBCUniversal-owned network.

“When the murder is so bizarre, the motive so far-fetched and the crime so outlandish that it sounds like something from a Hollywood screenplay—there’s a good chance it was actually committed by a “Florida Man,’’ the new show’s description reads.

The program will come from Man vs. Robot and Blumhouse Productions, founded by Jason Blum who has produced horror movies “Get Out,’’ and “The Purge.”

UNRELATED: I just got the April monthly recap from PayPal, so in the morning I’ll send out thank you notes to those that hit the JMG tip jar on our 15th anniversary a couple of weeks ago. As I’ve mentioned, I don’t get email addresses for those that don’t use their own PayPal account, so hairy bear hugs to all of you!
