USA Today reports:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi slapped down talks of starting impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump, saying Tuesday that “we’re not there yet.” Her comments at the 2019 TIME 100 Summit followed days of discussions over whether the results of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation merit the president being ousted from office.
“I do believe that impeachment is one of the most divisive forces, paths that we could go down to in our country, but if the facts, the path of fact-finding takes us there, we have no choice — but we’re not there yet,” Pelosi said. “We shouldn’t impeach for a political reason. We shouldn’t not impeach for a political reason,” Pelosi said.
Pelosi says at Time event that impeachment is one of most “divisive” actions to take. “I do believe .. if the fact-finding takes us there, we have no choice. But we are not there yet.” She says Dems aren’t really divided on topic, she said that some Dems “more eager” than others

Our Founders spoke about how the times had found them. We feel the same today. We have a responsibility to fight for our Constitution and that starts with ensuring that the full #MuellerReport is released. It’s time for the Trump Administration to get out of the way. #TIME100
