The Hill reports:
Lawyer George Conway ripped President Trump on Monday, saying he “incompetently botched” picking a successor for departing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.
In several posts on Twitter, Conway, the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, knocked Trump and the administration, saying they were not prepared for Nielsen’s exit, which was announced Sunday.
George Conway also compared Nielsen’s resignation letter to former Secretary of Defense James Mattis’s, noting that neither named Trump specifically.
Her letter said “effective April 7”—yesterday. They must have realized late last night how Trump incompetently botched the naming of her successor without having someone check the statute. But was the resignation letter accepted? https://t.co/c8l0F2gIXX
