CHATTER AWAY: Overnight Opening Thread

Patti LuPone is set to appear in the second season of the FX series Pose. Creator Ryan Murphy made the announcement at PaleyFest March 23, surprising both the audience and the show’s cast, including stage alums Billy Porter and Mj Rodriguez.

No word yet on who LuPone will play, but Murphy did reveal that the second season will jump from the ’80s to 1990, with the first episode set the day Madonna’s released “Vogue”—the single that brought the ball culture staple to the masses.

(Incidentally, LuPone has been quite vocal about her thoughts on the pop star’s performance in the film adaptation of Evita, the show that brought LuPone her first Tony Award).
