Klobuchar To Make “Big Announcement” On Sunday

Minneapolis’s ABC affiliate reports:

Senator Amy Klobuchar is scheduled to make a major announcement on Sunday at Boom Island Park in Minneapolis. It’s likely Minnesota’s senior senator will announce she’s running for president in 2020.

In an interview on the cable network MSNBC shortly after President Trump’s ‘State of the Union’ address, Klobuchar said to “come to Boom Island on Sunday… to find out what the decision is.” Klobuchar has long been regarded as one of the U.S. Senate’s most popular and effective members.

She’s also seen as a rising star in the Democratic National Party. The event will be open to the public at 1 p.m., and the program is scheduled to start at 1:35 p.m. Hot cocoa, cookies, warming houses and live entertainment will all be part of the day’s events.
