Brooks Ashmanskas, who plays Broadway actor Barry in The Prom, is featured in the new music video for “Barry Is Going to Prom,” a song from the musical at the Longacre Theatre. The cast recording for The Prom, which also features Caitlin Kinnunen, Isabelle McCalla, Tony winner Beth Leavel, Christopher Sieber, Angie Schworer, Josh Lamon, and Michael Potts, is currently available from Sony Masterworks Broadway.

The Prom earned national headlines and Christianist outrage after its female leads kissed during Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. What a great song.
