Calfiornia Governor Gavin Newsom and Senator Kamala Harris have been a force in San Francisco politics for years, and now Newsom and Harris play to a national crowd. On MSNBC Friday, Newsom announced he will endorse Harris for president.
“You asked me first, so I will let you know. I will be endorsing her candidacy for president,” he said. “I know her well. I’ve known her for decades.”
Harris, a first-term senator and former California attorney general known for her rigorous questioning of President Donald Trump’s nominees, entered the Democratic presidential race on Jan 21.
