U.S. President Donald Trump is considering Herman Cain for a seat on the Federal Reserve board, a Bloomberg reporter said on Twitter. Cain made his fortune as pizza executive before making a bid to be the Republican candidate in the 2012 presidential election. Mitt Romney ultimately won that nomination, but lost the election to former President Barack Obama. He is perhaps most well-known for this infamous ad with his chief of staff smoking and Cain awkwardly smiling into the camera.
I’m going to take this moment to remind people that @NoahGrayCNN, as a college journalist, once asked Herman Cain at a debate if his 9-9-9 plan was a “pizza plan” as others were suggesting. https://t.co/0MW9MXtqRD

Of course. When Cain was accused of sexual harassment by multiple women in 2011, Trump said he was the target of a witch hunt by women seeking fame and that Cain should sue them. https://t.co/85ycfqhg58 https://t.co/yGPmvhe4Tj
