Kamala Smashes Record For Most-Watched Town Hall

Axios reports:

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) broke records Monday when her televised town hall became the most viewed event of its kind in cable news history, according to CNN. The town hall averaged 1.957 million views — the most of any cable-news, single-candidate town hall and 75 percent more than CNN’s average for that hour over the past four weeks, according to a CNN news release.

During the town hall, Harris laid out several policy objectives, including an endorsement of a “Green New Deal” to combat climate change, calling the issue an “existential threat.” Harris also castigated the Trump administration for its handling of undocumented immigrants and President Donald Trump’s fight for a border wall, accusing the president of playing with the lives of undocumented immigrants for political gain.
