Last night CBS aired the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors, which took place early this month. From a highlights review:
Whoopi Goldberg pays affectionate tribute to Cher in word and wardrobe. Little Big Town presents a medley of “Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves,” “I Found Someone” and “Baby Don’t Go.” Cyndi Lauper struts through a ferocious “(If I Could) Turn Back Time” that gets the audience up and moving. She and “American Idol” alum Lambert close the evening with “I Got You Babe.” But Lambert’s soaring “Believe” is the peak, a haunting take on the Cher standard.
.@Cher: “You told me you were going to Los Angeles!”@cyndilauper: “I lied.”
