The Hill reports:
Eighty-eight percent of voters said President Trump should visit U.S. troops in war zones, according to an American Barometer survey released Wednesday. The poll, conducted by Hill.TV and the HarrisX polling company, found that 57 percent of voters polled said it was “very important” for the president to visit troops in war zones, while 31 percent said it was “somewhat important.”
Twelve percent of respondents said it was not that important for Trump to make those trips. Voters from both parties appeared to agree on the issue, with 88 percent of Republicans and 89 percent of Democrats saying he should visit troops in combat zones. Trump is facing public criticism after The Washington Post reported that one reason he has not visited combat troops is because he is concerned for his own safety.
