USA Today reports:
A federal judge on Friday set March 5 to sentence Paul Manafort, President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman, after the collapse his plea agreement on charges of conspiracy and obstruction of justice.
U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson’s hearing capped a busy week in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Mueller’s team said they haven’t decided whether to bring additional charges for Manafort’s breach of the plea agreement for lying to investigators.
NEWS: Manafort sentencing date tentatively set for March 5. Late January arguments about whether he breached his plea deal.
Mueller team will file their argument that he breached the deal on Dec. 7 and defense has until January to respond.
