MAINE: Judge Denies Bid To Stop Ranked Vote Tally

But this isn’t over yet.

Bangor’s CBS News affiliate reports:

Judge denies Poliquin’s order for a temporary restraining order asking for the ranked-choice voting tabulation to stop. The tabulation process will continue at noon Thursday.

Wednesday, a federal judge in Bangor heard from legal teams from both sides of the ballot. A lawyer representing incumbent congressman Bruce Poliquin wants the judge to issue an injunction to stop the process.

The judge also heard from attorneys on behalf of the state, Democratic candidate Jared Golden and Independent candidate Tiffany Bond. The judge says he’ll be ready to make a decision as early as Thursday.
