“Gays For Trump” Homocon Loses NC House Race

The Washington Blade reports:

Peter Boykin, founder and president of the North Carolina-based group Gays for Trump, lost his race for a seat in the North Carolina House of Representatives on Tuesday in a district that includes the city of Greensboro.

According to the Greensboro News & Record, incumbent Democrat Amos Quick beat Boykin, who ran as a Republican, by a margin of 21,134 votes to 6,395 votes or about 76 percent to 23 percent.

Boykin operates an online radio station, which he says provides news and commentary that focuses on conservative political principles. Following Trump’s election as president Boykin organized two pro-Trump rallies on the National Mall in D.C., which drew only a few dozen people.

You may recall that Boykin’s husband violently assaulted a protester at a Trump rally in 2016, something which Boykin says the protester deserved. No charges were ever filed. Videos of the incident are here.

Boykin has appeared with Alex Jones on Infowars and has participated in an anti-Muslim event organized by an SPLC-certified hate group. Hit this link for much more on his history of far-right extremism.
