Splinter reports:
President Donald Trump responded to the mass shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue which has left at least eight people dead by blaming the synagogue for not having armed guards inside. The gunman also shot at least three armed police officers, but Trump did not appear to account for that in his remarks.
“This is a case where if they had an armed guard inside, they might have been able to stop him immediately. Maybe there would be nobody killed. If they had protection inside, the results would have been far better. This is a dispute that will always exist, I suspect, but if they had some kind of a protection inside the temple, uh, maybe it could have been a very much different kind of situation. They didn’t and he was able to do things that unfortunately he shouldn’t have been able to do.”
Donald Trump on Pittsburgh shooting at synagogue: “To see this happening again and again and again, it’s just a shame.”
He’s asked if there’s anything that can be done: “Look at the violence all over the world. The world is violent. The world is a violent world.” pic.twitter.com/lx4HfBmThf

“This has little do do with it,” Trump says when asked about gun laws in wake of Pittsburgh shooting.
Instead, he puts the onus on the synagogue: “If they had some kind of a protection inside the temple, then it could have maybe been a very different situation. They didn’t.”— Jeremy Diamond (@JDiamond1) October 27, 2018
Donald Trump just said the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting has little to do with gun laws and if they’d had “protection,” they may have survived.
What kind of human blames victims for their own deaths because they were unarmed during a bris? One who took $30 million from the @NRA. https://t.co/zatVYPWCcf
