Log Cabin Republicans Endorse GOP Rep Who Claims That “Many Mass Shooters” Turn Out To Be Democrats

The Log Cabin Republicans today issued endorsements for 18 Senate and House candidates. Fourteen of their endorsees are incumbents, four are challenging Democrats for House seats.

Perhaps most notable on their list is upstate New York Rep. Claudia Tenney, who last appeared on JMG for her claim that “many” mass shooters turn out to be Democrats.

“Yeah, well, obviously there is a lot of politics in it, and it’s interesting that so many of these people that commit the mass murders end up being Democrats, but the media doesn’t talk about that either,” Tenney told talk show host Fred Dicker. Tenney did not offer any evidence to support that statement.

In a statement Wednesday night, Tenney said her comments were taken out of context. “I am fed up with the media and liberals attempting to politicize tragedies and demonize law-abiding gun owners and conservative Americans every time there is a horrible tragedy,” she said.

Log Cabin Republicans have yet to comment publicly on Trump’s latest attack on transgender rights.

But yesterday they did attend a campaign event for Georgia’s immigrant-hating, voter-suppressing candidate for governor, Brian Kemp, who they have also endorsed.
