The Associated Press reports:
The White House will hold a press briefing Monday afternoon with press secretary Sarah Sanders. The briefing is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
Trump tweeted Monday about the caravan of several thousand Central American migrants moving through Mexico, saying no one will be admitted “unless you go through the legal process.”
Trump also said the group includes “Gang Members and some very bad people.” He has made similar claims before without offering evidence.
It says something that the mere act of scheduling a White House press briefing is itself news given how rare they’ve become. Other White Houses understood the obligation to regularly inform the public and respond to questions, even unwelcome questions.

They aren’t holding a press briefing today to “inform the public.” They are holding it to drive some divisive message about immigration or terrorism. https://t.co/KKNnaslIhu
