Vox reports:
Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) has announced he plans to vote to confirm embattled Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, barring any major last-minute changes. Flake said he would vote to confirm Kavanaugh this weekend unless “something big changes,” according to NBC News reporter Alex Moe. He doesn’t anticipate anything like that: “I don’t see what would,” Flake said, adding he believes Kavanaugh will be confirmed.
Q: you plan to vote yes tomorrow?
FLAKE: “Unless something big changes – I don’t see what would. But anyway I’m glad we had a better process. We needed a better process.”Q: you think Kavanaugh gets confirmed tomorrow?
FLAKE: “I would think so.”— Alex Moe (@AlexNBCNews) October 5, 2018
Sources familiar with Senate lobbying efforts tell me the WH believes @Sen_JoeManchin will vote to confirm Kavanaugh, but that @lisamurkowski will vote no. WH thinks @SenatorCollins and @JeffFlake are alson onboard. With @SteveDaines in Montana, that nets a 50-49 vote.

Just cast my vote for Judge Kavanaugh getting him one step closer onto #SCOTUS. We spoke last night, and I assured him, I will be back to vote YES this weekend if needed. Looking forward to calling Judge Kavanaugh, Justice Kavanaugh. pic.twitter.com/KzfdX2HIMc
