CHATTER AWAY: Overnight Open Thread

Inside Edition reports:

“Skibidi” — it’s a word you can barely pronounce, but the viral hit from Russian band Little Big will certainly have you dancing. Little Big’s video for “Skibidi” was published on YouTube on Oct. 5 and it already has more than 34 million views. With a thumping beat and super catchy moves that involve punching across the body, you can’t help but bop along.

InsideEdition.com spoke to Tessa Lena, a Russian-born musician living in New York, to get her take on what makes the video so unique. “It’s about the juxtaposition of gloom and art and absurd humor because as you can see, the scenery is gloomy, the colors are gloomy, the faces are long faces with no smiles on them and they’re doing this crazy art,” she said.

Over the last couple of weeks, thousands of fans, mostly Russians, have posted videos of themselves doing the dance. A couple of compilations are below, as well the band’s darkly funny “tribute” to Kim Jong-Un.
