Trump Tells Pompeo To Cancel North Korea Trip, Sends “Warmest Regards, Deep Respect To Chairman Kim”

Politico reports:

President Donald Trump on Friday asked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to cancel an upcoming trip to North Korea, arguing on Twitter that the United States has not made “sufficient progress” on denuclearization talks.

Pompeo said Thursday that he would be traveling to North Korea next week. On Friday, Trump partly blamed China for the stalled momentum.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un vowed to denuclearize following a one-on-one meeting with Trump in June, but the agreement lacked any specifics and the two countries have failed to flesh out the deal since.
