A late night bombshell from the New York Times:
Two weeks before his inauguration, Donald J. Trump was shown highly classified intelligence indicating that President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia had personally ordered complex cyberattacks to sway the 2016 American election. The evidence included texts and emails from Russian military officers and information gleaned from a top-secret source close to Mr. Putin, who had described to the C.I.A. how the Kremlin decided to execute its campaign of hacking and disinformation.
Mr. Trump sounded grudgingly convinced, according to several people who attended the intelligence briefing. But ever since, Mr. Trump has tried to cloud the very clear findings that he received on Jan. 6, 2017, which his own intelligence leaders have unanimously endorsed. The shifting narrative underscores the degree to which Mr. Trump regularly picks and chooses intelligence to suit his political purposes. That has never been more clear than this week.
The Jan. 6, 2017, meeting, held at Trump Tower, was a prime example. He was briefed that day by John O. Brennan, the C.I.A. director; James R. Clapper Jr., the director of national intelligence; and Adm. Michael S. Rogers, the director of the National Security Agency and the commander of United States Cyber Command. The F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, was also there; after the formal briefing, he privately told Mr. Trump about the “Steele dossier.”
The Fake News Media is going Crazy! They make up stories without any backup, sources or proof. Many of the stories written about me, and the good people surrounding me, are total fiction. Problem is, when you complain you just give them more publicity. But I’ll complain anyway!

The Fake News Media wants so badly to see a major confrontation with Russia, even a confrontation that could lead to war. They are pushing so recklessly hard and hate the fact that I’ll probably have a good relationship with Putin. We are doing MUCH better than any other country!

NY Times just confirmed that two weeks before inauguration, Trump was shown indisputable evidence proving Vladimir Putin had personally ordered attacks on America. That means Trump knew it was Putin this whole time, and he’s just been trying to cover it all up. Time to resign.

The moment @Lawrence reads the breaking news from the NYT to @maddow who immediately understands that if #TrumpKnew about the extent of Putin’s role in #RussianHacking on 1/6/17, he’s been actively engaged in a coverup ever since. pic.twitter.com/YmlVHflzZZ

Trump was briefed on all of this.
He knew all along Russia had been caught.
…and then he pushed out every single top official who briefed him. pic.twitter.com/FAbLFS9NEI
