Dems React To JacketGate With “We Care” Shirt

The Hill reports:

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is capitalizing on the controversy over first lady Melania Trump’s jacket choice during a visit to a Texas migrant detention facility this week. A shirt for sale in the DNC’s online store mocks the “I really don’t care, do u?” emblazoned on the back of Trump’s jacket, which she wore while boarding Air Force One en route for Texas. The first lady removed the jacket on the plane and was not seen wearing it at the facility. “We care, we vote. Do u?” reads the dark-green shirt, which sells for $20.18 on the Democrats’ online store page.

From the sales page: “When it comes to the words we put on our clothes, there is ‘no hidden message.’ We like to keep it pretty straightforward. It’s printed on 100% pre-shrunk cotton — right here in the USA.”
