CHATTER AWAY: Overnight Open Thread

As Rev. Manning — after a period of relative silence — is once again using his illegal sign as a mouthpiece of anti-LGBT hatred (see below), I thought I would provide an update on the status of the foreclosure of ATLAH church. Reverend Manning has made every effort to delay the foreclosure auction in the courts, but our attorneys tell me a final judgement should come in the next 3-6 months, following which the auction will hopefully be rescheduled.

Once we are certain that the auction will move forward, the Ali Forney Center will resume our fundraising campaign to purchase the site to house our homeless LGBT youth. It’s awful that our young people have to walk by this sign daily, especially during Pride Month when our community is celebrated for its diversity and the love that its members share.
