MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki Steals Election Show

The Morning Call reports:

The race between Democrat Conor Lamb and Republican Rick Saccone in Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional District captivated Twitter overnight, but it was MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki who ultimately stole the show. Around 8 p.m. Tuesday, the hashtag #PA18 began trending as polls closed. Politicos immediately obsessed over The New York Times needle (it was ultimately shut down) and live charts and maps of the votes as precinct tallies were reported.

The contest had drawn plenty of national attention and was seen as a bellwether for the midterm elections in November. And to the amusement of many, Kornacki held court on MSNBC like he was monitoring a race that stretched well beyond the southwest suburbs of Pittsburgh and the rural counties along the West Virginia border. As the coverage stretched on deep into the night, it became clear that viewers were overwhelmingly amused by Kornacki’s enthusiasm.
