BRITAIN: Neo-Nazi Man Charged In Terror Plot Against Gay Bar Claims Innocence, Tells Court He Is Bisexual

Britain’s Metro reports:

A terror suspect who plotted to launch an attack at a gay pride event has come out as bisexual during his trial. Ethan Stables, 20, denies plotting to commit acts of terrorism at the event at the New Empire pub in Barrow, Cumbria, last June.

He made the revelation after a jury saw a video of him saying ‘gays look nicer on fire’ as he burned a rainbow flag. However he said that he had previously been too scared to reveal his sexuality because his parents ‘would be disgusted’ saying he was ‘utterly ashamed’ of what he had done.

He said that he had had sexual experiences with men, but only revealed it after his trial had started. He told the jury: ‘I am disgusted and ashamed at myself for what I said. I just wish I could turn the clock back. I’m sorry.’

Stables’ godfather Phillip Loveless, who is gay, took to the stand at Leeds Crown Court to say that he had no reason to believe that his godson was homophobic.
