An early report:
Police and other emergency services in Florida are responding to reports of an active shooter at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. There are reports of multiple victims. The incident began just after 2:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday when officers were called to reports of a shooting at the high school, which is located on Pine Island Road.
“Avoid area of Douglas HS for active police scene. Do not call 911 unless an emergency,” Coral Springs Police said in a tweet, adding: “Do not attempt to get to the school this perimeter is LOCKED down.” Footage from the scene shows multiple people being treated by paramedics.
