The New York Post reports:
A pair of Republicans senators Sunday said Steve Wynn’s money is now dirty. The billionaire casino mogul stepped down this weekend as Republican National Committee finance chair in the face of sexual harassment allegations.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC.) said the GOP lawmakers should return Wynn’s money, much like Republicans demanded Democrats return donations from disgraced moviemaker Harvey Weinstein after sexual harassment allegations were exposed. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said Republicans should “absolutely” send back Wynn’s cash. “I don’t even think it’s a close call to return the money,” Collins told CNN’s ”State of the Union.”
The RNC has not addressed whether it would return Wynn’s money. Republicans repeatedly pressured Democrats and elected officials to return any money from Weinstein, a prominent Democrat donor. Democrats were quick to ask for the same treatment for Wynn.
DNC responds to Steve Wynn reports: “In the exact words of RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, ‘If you stand for treating women well and you stand for the respect of women, you shouldn’t take money from somebody who treated women with the absolute highest level of disrespect.’” pic.twitter.com/co5oEmq28K

This is the RNC statement on Steve Wynn:
RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel: “Today I accepted Steve Wynn’s resignation as Republican National Committee Finance Chair.”
It makes no mention of:
– all the money he donated to the RNC
– the sexual assault allegations against him— Abby D. Phillip (@abbydphillip) January 27, 2018
If the DNC truly stands up for women like they say they do, then returning Weinstein’s dirty money should be a no-brainer.
