The New York Daily News reports:
A fire broke out on the roof of Trump Tower on Monday morning, officials said. Smoke was seen billowing off the top of the Manhattan skyscraper, carrying for several blocks.
Firefighters were called to the Fifth Ave. skyscraper, located at East 56thSt., at about 7:20 Monday morning. The blaze broke out in the building’s heating and cooling system, the FDNY said.
While President Trump and the First Family now live in the White House, the commander-in-chief maintains a palatial apartment in the 58-story tower. The President was in Washington at the time of the fire.
