White House Refuses To Say How GOP Tax Bill Would Affect Trump After He Claims It Will “Cost Me A Fortune”

Politico reports:

The White House again declined on Tuesday to release President Donald Trump’s tax returns when asked about his own assertions that he will lose money under the new Republican tax reform bill.

Trump has broken with long-established precedent by refusing to release any tax returns, first as a candidate and now as president, a move that has stoked questions about his past earnings and what he pays in federal taxes.

“This actually could impact the president in a large way,” press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said when pressed repeatedly on Trump’s claim that the bill will “cost me a fortune.”
