The Hill reports:
President Trump congratulated Democrat Doug Jones for winning the Alabama Senate race Tuesday night. Jones defeated Republican Roy Moore in a close election for the open seat, becoming the first Democrat to win a Senate seat in Alabama since 1992. The result was a major blow for Trump, who backed Moore despite a series of allegations that the former judge had sexual relationships with underage girls when he was in his 30s.
Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!

Well, looks like the baseless @GOP establishment-fanned smear campaign worked. If the numbers hold, evil prevailed for now. Yet #Christ remains sovereign #AlabamaSenateElection

Alabama is Mitch McConnell's fault. Period. #ALSenate

Conservatives should NOT despair. Moore was fatally flawed. Libs have now lost their biggest issue. Back to draining the swamp.

Tonight's #AlabamaSenateElection was more evidence that appointing @JeffSessions as Attorney General was the worst decision ever.
