Via Mediaite:
Yesterday President Trump took to Twitter to claim he rejected an interview and a photo shoot with Time Magazine he was “PROBABLY” going to be Person of the Year. Time Magazine has since responded to Trump’s tweet, claiming that the president is “incorrect.” Now Sean Hannity is getting in the ring and is challenging Time Magazine to answer whether or not they approached Trump at all.
Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year,” like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!

The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.

I call total Bullshit on Time. Answer the question; did you or did you not call the WH and say @realDonaldTrump @POTUS was being considered for person of the year and ask for an interview? https://t.co/DaqfDBsr0V

Sports Illustrated called and said I was probably going to be Sportsman of the Year, but it was going to take a long photo shoot and interview. I’m not proud of my recent perm and have a interpretive dance class at the interview time so I turned it down! No Thanks SI!!

I worked at Time mag for 15 years. Doesn’t work this way.
1. Time tries to interview/shoot several possibilities
2. Agreeing to shoot/interview not a condition of being picked
DJT probably angling to set up “I didn’t want it” when he doesn’t get picked (2x/row would be unusual) https://t.co/3Vh43BdKD5— James Poniewozik (@poniewozik) November 24, 2017
A reminder that Trump’s golf resorts were decorated with fake Time Magazine covers https://t.co/dSL4WhebqO pic.twitter.com/HJh7Cuwzhp

It should be noted that a TIME Mag photo shoot gave us one of the great Trump GIFs pic.twitter.com/7KYMlSRl9v
