Talking Points Memo reports:
The National Republican Senatorial Committee on Wednesday pushed a video using a Mariachi band to highlight a Democratic senator’s past positions on outsourcing jobs to Mexico. The video, posted by NRSC communications director Jon Adams, features the band playing outside what appears to be Sen. Joe Donnelly’s (D-IN) campaign headquarters, along with the hashtag “#MexicoJoe.” In the video, a text overlay refers to the band as “a special gift” for Donnelly.
NRSC got a mariachi band to play as Donnelly (D-IN) launches re-election bid. If there's a non-racist point to this, please enlighten me https://t.co/ouriIojcrf

Oye @NRSC this is #racist. Do you think that is ok for a bunch of white people to use #Mariachi music as an attack? #WhitePrivilege ? https://t.co/LL9IVQgvnB
