Fox News made a chyron error on Thursday that is getting some mockery on social media after President Trump retweeted the video of it to his 33.4 million followers. “West Saved by the Blood of Patriarchs,” read the Fox graphic as President Trump spoke during a speech in Poland. Trump actually stated: “The West was saved with the blood of patriots,” per a White House transcript. Chryon writers are tasked in live speech coverage situations with supplying verbatim quotes of a speaker in real-time, leading to occasional mistakes.
