Kellyanne Conway: Trump Will Decide Next Week Whether To Stop Making Obamacare Payments

The Washington Examiner reports:

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said Sunday that President Trump would determine next week if the administration will make cost-sharing reduction payments to insurance companies.

The payments, called CSRs, subsidize insurers for reducing co-pays and deductibles for low-income Obamacare customers. The administration’s reluctance to say if they’re going to make those payments have been blamed by Democrats for causing insurance companies to have less market certainty.

When asked on “Fox News Sunday” if Trump plans on authorizing those payments, Conway said, “he will make that decision next week.” Trump isn’t willing to move on to other legislative priorities just yet, she said. “The president will not accept those who said, ‘It’s time to move on,'” Conway said.
