BRITAIN: PM Theresa May Says Identity Of Suicide Bomber Is Known, Cops Arrest Second Man [VIDEO]

Radio Free Europe reports:

British Prime Minister Theresa May says it is “now beyond doubt” that the bombing at a Manchester pop concert late on May 22 was a “callous terrorist attack” and that police have determined the identity of the attacker.

Speaking after an emergency response meeting on May 23 at the Cabinet Office Briefing Rooms (COBR), May said police and security services were “working at speed to establish a clear picture” of the bombing at Manchester Arena that killed 22 victims and wounded 59.

“We now know that a single terrorist detonated his improvised explosive device near one of the exits of the venue, deliberately choosing the time and place to cause maximum carnage and to kill and injure indiscriminately,” May said.

May said that “among those killed and injured were many children and young people.” She also said that “many of the 59 wounded victims were being treated for “life-threatening injuries” at eight hospitals across Manchester.

The bomber also was killed in the attack. May said that the authorities would not release details about him in the early stages of a major police investigation that is under way.
