Fox News Latino To Close Down Tomorrow

Roger Ailes is out and now so is the spinoff he created. The Hill reports:

Fox News Latino’s (FNL) six-year run will officially end at midnight Friday. FNL national correspondent Bryan Llenas tweeted the news on his personal account on Thursday.

“When we launched in October of 2010, we were faced with a daunting task: Report on Latino stories in the US and Latin America in English in an honest attempt to give voice to the voiceless and bring often ignored stories from the Latino community to the mainstream,” Llenas wrote.

“We not only were tasked with reaching a new audience — in a way — we also had to work extra hard to break preconceived notions about what the Fox News brand meant in diverse Latino communities around the country in an attempt to report the truth.” Llenas insisted the site’s demise didn’t mean it had failed.
