From World Net Daily:
In his blockbuster new book, “Scorched Earth: Restoring The Country After Obama,” Savage calls for nothing less than the restoration of the House Un-American Activities Committee. “I know what’s going to happen: the left will go insane,” he writes. ‘They’ll say, ‘You’re violating our civil rights.’ They’ll say, ‘You do not have probable cause to bring people in to investigate them.’ They might be right. But we need to do exactly that for our survival.”
At the top of the list of groups to be investigated, Savage says, is the American Civil Liberties Union, the ACLU, which Savage calls “the number one public enemy, the head of the serpent.”
“It must be broken apart,” he declares. “Tell me how a society that is open like ours, that is democratic like ours, can survive when enemies of freedom, enemies of democracy are destroying society by using the very freedoms that we have in place because of the Constitution? What would you do? That is the conundrum we are facing. … This crusade is going to lead us down roads we may not be comfortable going down, but we must go there.”
Besides the ACLU, Savage also identified the Southern Poverty Law Center as a grave threat to the country. SPLC, a far-left group that has repeatedly smeared Christians as “extremists” and was linked in a federal courtroom to a terrorist attack, is already on the offensive against President-elect Trump.
Newt Gingrich, potentially our next Secretary of State, said the same thing back in June:
“We originally created the House Un-American Activities Committee to go after Nazis,” he said during an appearance on “Fox and Friends” this week. “We passed several laws in 1938 and 1939 to go after Nazis and we made it illegal to help the Nazis. We’re going to presently have to go take the similar steps here.”
The House Un-American Activities Committee was founded on the eve of World War II but gained greater notoriety a decade later as it launched a series of investigations into alleged communist elements inside the U.S. government and other aspects of U.S. society.
Never forget it was Donald Trump’s personal attorney, the detestable homocon Roy Cohn, who was Joseph McCarthy’s right-hand man during that witch hunt.
