Brooklyn Pub Issues Perfect Response After Pharma Douche Invites His Fans To “Drinks On Me” Party

Gothamist reports:

A Martin Shkreli fan meetup at the Henry St. Alehouse in Brooklyn Heights was shut down by the bar yesterday just hours before it began—and now the bar’s social media is being flooded with hate from Shkreli’s admirers.

Shkreli picked the bar because of its proximity to the U.S. Federal Court on Cadman Plaza, where he was presumably attending the latest hearing in his ongoing securities fraud case. But he failed to notify the bar ahead of time, prompting them to pull the plug on the whole thing.

“We knew nothing of this beforehand nor can we accomodate large groups, let alone one from a controversial figure such as Shkreli,” a spokesperson for the Henry St. Ale House told Gothamist. “We are a low-key, small neighborhood bar/restaurant, not an event space.

Shkreli and co. began looking for “Republican-friendly bars” and ultimately moved their gathering to the Brooklyn Public House on Dekalb Avenue, which may have provided the best take on the situation.

Shkreli has gained a massive following among Trump and Milo fans.
