Former Obama Campaign Manager: Trump Is The Heaviest Presidential Candidate Since Taft [VIDEO]

This claim may not be right as William Howard Taft is believed to have weighed about 340 pounds near the end of presidency. At his heaviest Chris Christie is thought to have weighed more than 400 pounds, although he’s somewhat slimmer since having gastric band surgery in 2013. Via Mediaite:

David Plouffe, President Obama‘s former campaign manager, invoked Donald Trump‘s weight in talking about the health questions both candidates need to ask today. Plouffe told Chuck Todd that the Hillary Clinton campaign should have handled things better, but also said that it’s doubtful any voter would change their minds based on medical records. He did take a shot at Trump’s “Dr. Feelgood” and said of The Donald, “He’s 70, okay? He’s the heaviest president we’ve had––candidate since William Taft.”
