TRUE STORY: Florida’s Face-Eating Killer “Zombie” Was Last Seen Wearing “Make America Great Again” Hat

The Palm Beach Post reports:

Speaking in a sometimes shaky voice Monday night to a Jupiter police dispatcher, the mother of Austin Harrouff is heard on a police recording saying her son was “a little delusional…and he feels immortal, like a superhero.” Mina Harrouff made the phone call just before midnight Monday to Jupiter police from her home in The Shores development.

Austin left the Duffy Sports Grill restaurant on Indiantown Road and Island Way in Jupiter about 10 p.m. and was last seen walking north on Island Way, she told police. Austin was wearing a red hat reading “Make America Great Again.” He was carrying a pocket knife, said Mina Harrouff.

And in case you don’t know what happened next:

The surveillance video from Duffy’s Sports Grill in Jupiter has been released Friday, giving new insight into what led up to the deadly cannibal attack near Tequesta. It’s at that restaurant where investigators say 19-year-old Austin Harrouff had dinner with relatives and stormed out following an argument with his father.

Hours later, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said Harrouff attacked and killed John and Michelle Stevens as the couple sat in their garage of their home. Deputies found Harrouff biting the face of Stevens. A group of deputies and a K-9 had to forcefully pull Harrouff off of Stevens when their tasers proved ineffective.
