Sanders Spox: No, Hillary, You Are Not The Nominee

The Hill reports:

Bernie Sanders’s campaign on Thursday fired back at Hillary Clinton after she said she will be the Democratic nominee for president. In a statement, a spokesman for Sanders said millions of Americans have “growing doubts” about her candidacy.

“In the past three weeks voters in Indiana, West Virginia and Oregon respectfully disagreed with Secretary Clinton,” campaign spokesman Michael Briggs said in a statement. “We expect voters in the remaining eight contests also will disagree.”

The statement noted that many polls show Sanders performing better than Clinton in a head-to-head matchup against Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee.

“With almost every national and state poll showing Sen. Sanders doing much, much better than Secretary Clinton against Donald Trump, it is clear that millions of Americans have growing doubts about the Clinton campaign,” Briggs added.
