The Hill reports:
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders dodged a question in a Sunday interview about whether he’d serve as Hillary Clinton’s vice president if she secures the nomination.
“I’m knocking my brains out to win the Democratic nomination,” Sanders said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
When asked if he’d take the call if Clinton asked him to be his running mate, Sanders said he is concentrating on securing delegates and getting the Democratic nomination.
But the Vermont senator did not rule out the notion. “That’s where I am right now,” he said. “What happens afterwards, we will see. But right now, my focus is on winning the nomination.”
