The Hill reports:
Former Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson on Monday predicted that the Republican Party would face “absolute destruction,” including the loss of the House and Senate, if businessman Donald Trump is not its presidential nominee.
“If there are shenanigans, if it’s not straightforward, all of those millions of people that Donald Trump has brought into the arena are not going to stay there,” Carson, who has endorsed Trump, said on “Fox and Friends.”
“The Republicans are going to lose, and it’s going to be not only the presidency, but it’s going to be the Senate, and it could even be the House. It’s going to be absolute destruction,” he added.
Carson has previously predicted “turmoil” if Trump is denied the nomination, while the candidate himself caught flak after suggesting there would be “riots” if he was not the nominee.
