SOUTH CAROLINA: Clinton +21 Points In New Poll

The Hill reports:

Hillary Clinton has a double-digit edge over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in South Carolina before the state’s Democratic presidential primary later this month, according to a new poll. Clinton holds a 21-point advantage heading toward the contest on Feb. 27 in a Public Policy Polling survey released late Monday to The State newspaper.

The former first lady has 55 percent of likely Democratic primary voters there, versus 34 percent for Sanders. Another 12 percent are undecided. Clinton’s advantage stems in part from her backing from South Carolina’s African-American voters, pollsters found. About 63 percent support her, contrasted with 23 percent for Sanders. Another 14 percent remain undecided.
